The Book of Generations is a book made by Outback students out of leather that is full of inspiring messages written by teens on the day before they leave the wilderness. This book is passed down from student to student and each teen is given the opportunity to write their message to the next “generation” after them. Here is an inspirational message from the Book of Generations:
“Outback is an absolutely amazing place! It takes you out of the surroundings you knew at home and comfort then places you in the middle of the freaking Utah west desert where you have to adapt with the program and learn new traits that will stick with you for the rest of your life. Back home I would use the mask of a stoner and party guy to express my image though it truly wasn’t me. Outback has allowed me to finally feel comfortable and show my true self. And to be honest it feels a hell of a lot better than just really being fake and hiding behind the stoner mask. Your friends are more real and like you for what you truly are. Outback is an amazing place!”
